Handmade Red Beeswax Sculptural Pillar Candle - Medium

Handcrafted in Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, this sculptural floral candle is made entirely by hand from 100% natural beeswax by Doña Viviana Alávez, continuing a generations-old family tradition.

Each candle is hand-poured layer by layer using ancestral techniques passed down through women in her family. This slow, deliberate process creates a richly sculptural form, a longer burn time, and a naturally warm aroma of honey and wax, without added fragrance.

Doña Viviana has practiced this craft since childhood. For decades, her work has supported not only her family but her entire community, illuminating weddings, religious ceremonies, and celebrations throughout Mexico. The floral form of this candle was inspired by a single rose, transforming a functional object into a piece of living heritage.

Every candle is unique. Subtle variations in shape, texture, and tone are a natural result of the handmade process and part of its beauty.
